Sherwood Energy Village is a business park and urban extension in a former coalfield community in Nottinghamshire. It was originally a community-owned development that was set up in response to the closure of Ollerton colliery in the mid 1990s after six hundred miners lost their jobs when the pit closed.

The village offered land for development to firms and organisations aspiring to build to construction standards body the Building Research Establishment's "very good" environmental assessment rating. The East Midlands Development Agency (Emda) was one of the first organisations to lease land on the site. Nottinghamshire County Council has relocated 200 staff to the village, and has been joined there by leisure firm Center Parcs and businesses dealing with financial services and environmental technology.
